LAPO SORRIDE (no pronouns) is an interdisciplinary artist, fragmented and polyphonic creature. Focusing on sustainable practices Lapo creates immersive environments and portal-like objects made of rags, clay, dirt, branches and wax, scents as well as printed digital landscapes and granular surfaces, implemented with sound manipulation. Lapo is a digital surfer interested in the potentiality of easter eggs, rabbit-holes and community building within the realm of the dark web.

I create immersive environments and portal-like experiences that transcend the boundaries of traditional representation. In doing so, I investigate re-enchantment strategies aiming to collective healing, embracing a neo-materialist approach and prioritizing post-human figurations.

I employ a range of media, including rags, clay, dirt, branches, wax, smells, stitching, writings and lyrics, printed digital landscapes, CSS, tattoos and granular surfaces enhanced by sound manipulations: objects and hypersigils that envisions and manifests alternative realities, encrypted messages from the deep self,  desires and traumas.

I also navigate the potentiality of easter eggs, rabbit-holes and tools for community building within the realm of the dark web.
