ABSENCE is a live-set showcased a shelter of emodrawings and organic textures as a speculative ritual in which granular desires shapes the time-space.

Inspired by the 5th chapter of the book Absence written by the author Michail Bavarov, this live set is a performative act of becoming in which words and granular synthesis match with exponential bass melodies and the peculiar sound of falling objects. Inside you may recognize the faded borders of digital gardens, the high frequencies colors of metallic forests and fleeting lonely voices of FM entities.
Absence also appears in a loudest scenario (high pressure sound). In this we still find eerie LLM voices briefly emerging to share confessions from the machine , morphing together with the peculiar tone of FFT manipulations, creating a specific space-time in which we will expand our bodies (corpi exterminati, extesi* see Massimo Canevacci) to receive stimuli from the surrounding environment. This suspends the logocentric selves, allowing for a more embodied experience that welcomes waves of sounds as living partners in worlding.

LAPO SORRIDE (he/they) is an interdisciplinary artist, fragmented and polyphonic creature. They creates immersive environments and portal-like objects. These are usually made of rug, clay, dirt, branches and smells, wax and stitching techniques as well as printed digital landscapes and granular surfaces, with sustainable practices implemented with sound manipulation techniques to alter the perception of space-time. Lapo is also a digital surfer interested in the potentiality of rabbit-holes and community building within the realm of the dark web.
